[误] ―What can I do for you?
―I’d like two boxes of egg.
[正] ―What can I do for you?
―I’d like two boxes of eggs.
[析]这里box和egg都是可数名词，都要在词后加-s.]
2.随意吃些鸡肉吧。
[误]Help yourself to some chickens.
[正]Help yourself to some chicken.
[析]chicken当鸡肉讲时不可数，不能在词后加-s.
3.今天天气真好！
[误]What a fine weather it is today!
[正]What fine weather it is today!
[析]weather不可数，不能加a.同时，weather是名词，要用what来感叹。
4.到鞋厂怎么走？
[误]Which is the way to the shoes’factory?
[正]Which is the way to the shoe factory?
[析]这里不是名词所有格，而是名词作形容词的用法。类似的用法如：pencil box, school bag等。
5.角落里没有足够的地方放桌子。
[误]There is no enough place in the corner to put the table.
[正]There is no enough room in the corner to put the table.
[析]根据句意知道，这里表示没有地方放桌子。room表示空间，place表示地点，所以place放这里是错误的。
6.这里的人们对我们很友好。
[误]People here are very friendly to us.
[正]The people here are very friendly to us.
[析]要注意这里的people是特指，因此要用定冠词the.
7.这个班的学生正在上课，高老师在教他们。
[误]This class is studying now. Miss Gao teaches them.
[正]This class are studying now. Miss Gao teaches them.
[析]当class这种概念名词当“人”讲的时候要作复数处理。类似的还有：The po-lice are running after the thief等。
